US Transport Secretary has warned that the air system is becoming riskier due to shut down

The shut down of the US government has meant air traffic controller shave been working without pay since October 1.

Staffing shortages have been escalating.

Yesterday’s air disaster has so far claimed 11 lives. I think its unrelated to air traffic controller issues, but don’t quote me on that:
