The National Hurricane Center said life-threatening surf and rip currents are likely across the US eastern seaboard as Hurricane Erin becomes a very large storm this week.

Hurricane Erin is about 155 miles (245 km) east-northeast of Grand Turk Island with maximum sustained winds of 125 mph (205 km/h).
Large hurricanes and weather events can often influence energy markets like oil and gas (as well as insurance stocks if they threaten areas of US infrastructure). For now though, there are not a lot of stress about this.
That could change if there are significant changes in the size and direction, especially if it comes with large-scale landfall risks close to key energy infrastructure.
