EUROPEAN SESSION
In the European session, we don’t have much on the agenda other than a couple of low tier releases like the Swiss unemployment rate and the Eurozone retail sales. None of the data is going to change anything for the respective central banks, so the market reaction will likely be muted.
The markets are currently in a risk-on mood following the US-Iran ceasefire agreement. The parties agreed to stop the conflict for two weeks while they negotiate a lasting peace deal. The discussions will begin on Friday, April 10th in Islamabad and may be extended if both sides agree.
AMERICAN SESSION
In the American session, the only highlight is the FOMC meeting minutes report. This is a market-moving release but the reactions are almost always faded because it’s generally stale by the time it comes out, and more so today that the US and Iran have reached a ceasefire agreement.
