Heads Up. There will be 2 coupon auctions today ahead of the Fed Decision on Wednesday

The US economic calendar of releases is done for the day after the weaker than expected durable goods orders. However, there will be not one but 2 coupon auctions today. Normally the US treasury auctions off its coupon issues on to say Wednesday and Thursday. However, because of the Federal Reserve interest rate decision on Wednesday, they will frontload the auctions starting today. Below is a detailed looking at the auctions this week:

U.S. Treasury Auction Calendar (Week of July 27, 2026)

Monday, July 27

  • 11:30 a.m ET – $69 billion 2-year note auction
  • 1:00 p.m. ET – $70 billion 5-year note auction

Tuesday, July 28

  • 1:00 p.m. ET – $44 billion 7-year note auction

The Fed decision will be on Wednesday followed by the press conference with Fed Chair Warsh.  

Wednesday, July 29

  • 2:00 p.m. ET – FOMC rate decision
  • 2:30 p.m. ET – Fed Chair Kevin Warsh press conference
