Hezbollah rejects a partial ceasefire with Israel, AFP reports.
Yesterday, a report citing Lebanon’s parliamentary speaker said Hezbollah was ready for a ceasefire. What Israel appeared to offer — via Bibi — was that they wouldn’t strike Beirut in exchange for Hezbollah standing down. I ridiculed the suggestion at the time because it included Israel continuing to expand its gains in Southern Lebanon.
Given that, I don’t see how this can be a surprise.
