Major European indices close mixed

The major European indices are closing result.

As London/European traders are heading for the exits, the US stock indices remain in positive territory:

  • Dow industrial average of 96.03 points or 0.19% at 50970
  • S&P index up 60.11 points or 0.81% at 7444.25
  • NASDAQ index +389 points or 1.50% at 26096.21

Looking at the US that market, yields have been trading above and below unchanged. Currently,

  • 2year yield 4.161%, unchanged
  • 5 year yield 4.290%, +1.0 basis points
  • 10 year yield 4.556%, +2.0 basis points.
  • 30 year yield 5.024%, +2.6 basis points

Crude oil futures are trading higher by $0.85 at $91.40, but well off the high price of $95.47

Gold is higher by $12 at $4340. Silver is up $0.73 and $68.62.

The price of bitcoin is trading near the middle of its trading range at $63,832. The high price reached $64,191 the low price was at $62,370.

News from the Middle East continued to dominate with Pres. Trump reportedly asking Israel’s Netanyahu to not bomb Lebanon but it seems that Netanyahu is not complying fully with the request. The dynamics remain fluid.
